A Chicago man accused of sexually assaulting three children claims that there’s no crime – because he’s actually “a nine-year-old trapped in an adult’s body.”
The self-proclaimed trans-age Joseph Roman is 38-years-old and has been charged with multiple counts of predatory criminal sexual assault, stemming from incidents between August 2015 and January 2018.
Roman’s victims include two six-year-olds and one eight-year-old. They were all the daughters of friends, who, along with their parents, had stayed as guests in Roman’s house.
One victim, who was six when the abuse began, was sexually assaulted in her bed, while her other family members were asleep.
A second victim, who was eight, and her family stayed with Roman for 10 weeks in the fall of 2016. While the girl’s mother worked the night shift, Roman continuously assaulted the child – even after she and her family moved out of his home.
Another victim, aged six, lived in Roman’s house with her family for a year, beginning in January 2017 and ending earlier this month, when her parents went to the police to report Roman’s behavior on January 6.
Despite Roman’s attempts to shave 29 years off his life in a pathetic attempt to avoid responsibility for this abhorrent crime, he has made a video confession.
Roman currently awaits trial in prison without bail.
