The discovery of a photo showing a student in blackface has delayed the distribution of yearbooks at Chaska High School.
Jim Swearingen, assistant principal there, said the image was only noticed during a final review of the publication, according to the Chaska Daily Herald.
Swearingen said the photo showed the cheer section at the annual Chaska-Chanhassen football game – and in the crowd, a student is wearing blackface.
The school caught the problematic image before yearbooks were handed out, KSTP says. They’ll remove the image, then republish the yearbook.
