If it weren’t for double standards, liberals and Democrats wouldn’t have any at all.
They claim to be the champions of racial equality and diversity, but in reality, all that really means is being anti-white. Their rhetoric is frequently laced with bigotry and prejudice, but it’s only tolerated because the object of these bigoted tirades is white people. One must look no further than a recent tweet by Rep. Ayanna Pressley.
Pressley tweeted to President Joe Biden, “It’s time for a black woman on the Supreme Court.”
Bold tweet, but I thought we had progressed to a society in which skin color is not supposed to be a determining factor when it comes to jobs. Or is that only in the case of hiring white people? Pressley emphasized that the nominee should be black. However, is that not racist? Is that not considered black supremacy? For years, liberals and Democrats have said skin color should not matter, yet, in this case, all that seems to matter to Presley is skin color. Furthermore, is this tweet not offensive to Asian Americans, Latino Americans, or Native Americans? Do not they deserve a Supreme Court justice of their proud heritages?
Also, consider if a white, Republican congressman tweeted, “The next Supreme Court Justice needs to be white.” Imagine the outrage that would ensue. By literally mirroring the same logic Pressley did in her tweet, albeit from a different perspective, this hypothetical congressman would be vilified in the media. There would be outrage, condemnation, marches, and every public demonstration one could imagine, all the while declaring the country is still suffering from white supremacy. Pressley should be held to the same standards. The message here is quite simple: Any support for a racial preference is permitted so long as that race is not white.
Why are such racist, bigoted, and prejudiced rhetoric allowed to occur without any repercussions? Why do Democrats constantly talk about racial harmony and equality but are the first to advocate racial supremacy for every other race except white people?
In the 21st century, this is unacceptable. Hold all bigots accountable. Democrats spent decades promoting racism in this country, supporting things like segregation and the Ku Klux Klan. It’s 2022, and our country has fought way too hard to overcome the scourge of their racial injustices. Comments such as Pressley’s must be condemned to prevent Democrats from returning to their old bigoted ways.
