CNN reporter doing story about voter discontent with crime in S.F. gets robbed ‘again’

According to the San Francisco Police Department’s crime dashboard robberies in the city are up almost 20 percent compared to the same three-month time frame last year.

Apparently voters in San Francisco aren’t happy with the result of what they voted for, so a CNN crew went there to do a story about people who are upset about crime in their city. Guess what happened next:

Got robbed. Again. @jasonkCNN & I were at city hall in San Francisco to do an interview for @CNN. We had security to watch our rental car + crew car. Thieves did this in under 4 seconds. Security stopped the jerks from stealing other bags. But seriously- this is ridiculous pic.twitter.com/3zcCzckavW

San Francisco is a beautiful city. This is our 3rd day here and I’ve loved my time here. But if you do visit this city, know that even with hired security watching your car, it is not enough. pic.twitter.com/Hi7UPSG5g5

We’ll just take her word for it until law and order is restored there, if it ever is:

BTW; @jasonkCNN and I are in San Francisco doing a story about voter discontent bc of rampant street crime #irony

Bc so many people get their cars broken into and their bags stolen, @SouthwestAir was very used to my lack-of-ID problem and smoothly gave me my ticket after a brief security check. Off to TSA now. pic.twitter.com/fDnfF1loRF

.@TSA officer Boongaling at Oakland is really helping me out today. Thank you to her!
Also, if you fly out of Oakland, know the gas stations are being hit around the airport. Teams here in Oakland say passengers show up crying bc their bags are all stolen, all in seconds pic.twitter.com/BQIwqtW53y

Restaurant staff told @jasonkCNN that they are angry with San Francisco crime and saw Jason’s “whole life” was in his bag. They had to search for his number and finally found a business card. SF is filled w/good, frustrated people who deserve better

All those areas have something in common… what could it be?

Vote democrat again. That’ll solve it.

Next time, vote Republican.

Perhaps the angle of the CNN story on citizens’ discontent with crime spikes where they live should be “you get what you vote for.”

“Drugs” are not victimless crimes. Encouraging– or at least making it easy to be– homeless and with mental illness has consequences for many. https://t.co/e6xISpDD1P

For those holding San Francisco up as a model of what Toronto should follow, please read this thread from a @CNN reporter.

Also, if you don’t want Toronto to become as horrible as San Francisco, DO NOT VOTE FOR @JoshMatlow. https://t.co/ulsgaqydtJ

According to @cnn this was a “mostly peaceful” street robbery. https://t.co/QPoUaOVMf2

“Shattery but mostly peaceful.”

It’s ironic that CNN is the victim of an ideology they support. https://t.co/Knx3UMyab5

It’s almost as if the Left is sick of the thieves they enable… https://t.co/MNLp40CBCl

This is irony: CNN team in San Francisco to do a story on voter discontent with local government’s inability to stop rampant crime has their car—with hired security watching it—looted. https://t.co/vbZwGTnysF

Who was that “hired security” anyway? Barney Fife?
