President Joe Biden has demonstrated two overarching concerns that dominate his foreign policy: endlessly shipping U.S. money and military gear to Ukraine and promoting the LGBTQ agenda.
For example, the Biden administration has pumped more than $100 billion into the 16-month-old war in Ukraine, the most recent installment coming on Friday, when the Defense Department announced a new $2.1 billion aid package heavy in air-defense and artillery weapons.
Meanwhile, The Washington Times reported on Sunday about a new report suggesting Biden’s push for LGBTQ rights is hurting America in places that aren’t so friendly to such ideas.
Last year, the Times noted, 126 U.S. embassies released Pride Month statements, U.S. missions in 97 countries hung Pride or Progress flags, and staff at 48 embassies participated in Pride parades.
Yet against this backdrop, recent media reports show Biden is all but ignoring an emerging threat to the homeland from America’s leading global foe.
On Saturday, the administration had to backtrack from its recent claims denying that China operates a spy base from Cuba.
The Wall Street Journal had reported two days earlier on a deal whereby China agreed to dole out billions in aid to Cuba in exchange for space to operate a high-tech listening post aimed at America.
White House National Security Council spokesman John Kirby initially called that report “not accurate.”
As it turned out, U.S. officials acknowledged that the Chinese base had been operating since at least 2019.
Meanwhile, as China spies on America from Cuba, Breitbart also reported on Saturday that since October the Border Patrol has captured roughly 13,000 Chinese immigrants illegally crossing the Mexican border.
That is a 1,000% increase over the previous year. And one analyst noted that a significant number of them appear to be “military-age” males.
But per the White House’s policy, they are considered asylum-seekers and cut loose to remain in the country.
Bretibart speculated that the Chinese illegals could be fleeing President Xi Jinping’s draconian COVID-19 policies.
Still, according to an agency source, the Border Patrol “is baffled by the increase as intelligence debriefings yield little information about the migrants and their purpose for entering,” Breitbart reported.
Dr. Kenneth Allard, a retired U.S. Army colonel and former dean of students at the National War College, told Breitbart that “it’s obvious he [Biden] is not entirely in control at present, China realizes that as well.”
Breitbart noted that the Border Patrol has reported that surges in illegal Chinese immigration — with spikes of 100% to more than 400% — have occurred at key points in Biden’s tenure: when he ended a Trump-era counterintelligence program aimed at China because of concerns about anti-Asian bias; when former Democratic House Speaker Nancy Pelosi angered China by visiting Taiwan; and after the Chinese spy balloon traversed the American heartland earlier this year.
