The Kentucky high schooler has been forced to apologize for speaking about his faith and praising Jesus at graduation in order to get his diploma after furious school administrators withheld it.
Micah Price received his diploma from Campbell County High School on Wednesday – five days after the now-infamous ceremony where the teen told his peers that Jesus “is the way,” WXIX reported.
He told followers that he was “in the wrong here, technically.”

He had been given permission to praise his “lord and savior Jesus Christ” in the speech, but was told to then read only to green-lit remarks, Price told WXIX.
In a statement to WKRC, district Superintendent Shelli Wilson said that all the student speakers were warned that any ad-libbing at the podium would have consequences.
Footage of Price’s speech and his breakdown of the situation subsequently went viral, prompting the incoming US Air Force Academy cadet to post a follow-up video saying the backlash had “gotten a little out of hand.”
“It’s a weird feeling being the talk of the town,” Price said in the TikTok video.
“I”m not here to push a political agenda, I’m not here to push my agenda,” he insisted. “I’m here to push the kingdom of Christ.”
He encouraged those who publicly slammed school officials over the issue to “please take a chill pill.”

After finally getting the diploma in his hands, Price told WXIX that he would continue to preach his Christian beliefs.
“I simply cannot hold back what Christ has done in my life,” Price said. “He’s everything to me.
