A quiet revolt is stirring in women’s sports: Female athletes are saying “enough” and refusing to play unfair match-ups against biologically male opponents.
This season, woman volleyballers at the University of Wyoming, Utah State, the University of Nevada, Reno and Southern Utah have forfeited games against San Jose State instead of playing against a reportedly transgender athlete on the Spartans, Blaire Fleming.

With coaches being fired for spelling out the issues here, the team’s statement still made it obvious: “Our team overcame forfeitures to earn a spot in the tournament field and fought for the win over Utah State in the first round on Wednesday. They should not have to forgo this opportunity while waiting for a more thoughtful and better system that serves all athletes.”
Forcing women athletes, especially seniors playing their final seasons, to either play against biological males or give up any shot at a championship isn’t just unfair, it’s insane.
But make no mistake, this is a matter of safety, too.
In multiple cases this year alone, transgender athletes have injured their female rivals during gameplay.
In October, Fleming spiked a ball into the face of San Diego State player Keira Herron, sending her flying to the ground.
- Female athletes have clearly had enough of being knocked around by typically taller, stronger male opponents.

Far too few higher-ed institutions are willing to stand up to trans ideology.
In fact, players from various schools and a coach tried to keep the trans athlete from participating in the tournament by filing a lawsuit in Colorado against the Mountain West Conference and San Jose State, but a judge ruled that the player could complete on Nov. 25, and an appeals court upheld the decision the next day.

The athletes banding together to stop this unjust madness deserve admiration; they’re sacrificing their seasons and risking lefties’ fury to save the sports they love.
History will not look kindly on the leaders who failed to stand with them.
