President Donald Trump’s order to pause all foreign aid funding resulted in pulling over $1 million in funding for diversity programs in Ireland and Serbia, according to House Foreign Affairs Chairman Brian Mast.
Mast claimed that the Biden administration approved more than $1.6 million for the United States Agency for International Development (USAID) programs, which were meant to expand diversity, equity and inclusion (DEI) objectives abroad.

The NGO received the funds in order to “advance diversity equity and inclusion in Serbia’s workplaces and business communities, by promoting economic empowerment of and opportunity for LGBTQI+ people in Serbia.”
The funds also included a $70,000 grant that was given to a group in Ireland to create a DEI musical that “deliver[s] a live musical event to promote the U.S. and Irish shared values of diversity, equity, inclusion, and accessibility.”
“America would have been better off if Biden and Blinken had lit your money on fire, instead of spending it on DEI musicals in Ireland or creating jobs for LGBTQ Serbians in Serbia,” Mast told the outlet.

The revelations additionally come after the Trump administration found the USAID earmarked $15 million for contraceptives and condoms last year for Afghanistan.
