The rule became operative in 1951 after Franklin D. Roosevelt won four presidential terms, which raised concerns about a president serving for an extended period.
But after Maga (Make America Great Again) operatives like Steve Bannon revealed they are looking at potential avenues for another Trump term, Duddridge told GB News he would not bet against such an unprecedented development.

“Bannon says he is looking at ways of making Trump president again. They could change the Constitution, which is possible.
“If Trump gets really, really popular, he might have the numbers to do so. Also, if he runs as vice president next time to JD Vance and Vance steps aside, Trump could legitimately do another two years.
“It’s not two terms in the rule, it’s ten years. I’ll never bet against him again.”

“I’m a firm believer that President Trump will run again in 2028. I’ve already endorsed President Trump,” Bannon told Cuomo.
“A man like this comes along once every century if we’re lucky. We’ve got him now. He’s on fire and I’m a huge supporter. I want to see him again in 2028.”
When pressed on how Trump could overcome constitutional barriers, Bannon remained cryptic.

Bannon’s comments follow his controversial appearance at the Conservative Political Action Conference (CPAC) in February, where he was heard chanting: “We want Trump in ’28! We want Trump! We Want Trump!”
