Former President Joe Biden was reportedly warned that his open-border policies would lead to “chaos,” but he ignored the warning, listening instead to the radical left advisors around him.
According to a newly released memo, Biden was told by his advisors during his 2020 presidential run against President Donald Trump that his proposed immigration plans could overwhelm the current system, The New York Times reported.
“A potential surge could create chaos and a humanitarian crisis, overwhelm processing capacities and imperil the agenda of the new administration,” Biden’s advisers reportedly wrote.

The memo warned that a huge influx was possible given Biden’s approach, a backlog from the Trump administration, and COVID hardships.
It pointed out that despite advisors giving Biden some possible ways to deal with the incoming trouble that his policy would cause, like rejecting immigration claims, and potentially “holding asylum seekers in ‘reception centers’ until their cases could be heard and transferring them to other countries,” the former president ignored them.

But the voices Biden apparently chose to listen to were the ones who said if he did those things, it might upset lefty voters, and that illegal border crossings were only really an issue to those Americans who live in border states.
Trump’s massive crackdown since taking office has resulted in record-low border crossings again in November, according to a U.S. Customs and Border Protection report.
Republican Speaker of the House Mike Johnson (LA-04) also shared the border news on X and really laid out the data.
“Another month of record calm at the border,” Johnson wrote, sharing the following:
• Daily crossings down 95% from the Biden era.
• 30,367 encounters — even LOWER than October’s historic low.
• Zero catch-and-release for the 7th straight month.
“This is what real border security looks like,” he concluded.
President Trump promised to make us safer, and that’s exactly what his policies are doing.
