“Come get some,” Homan said. “Bottom line, we’re just enforcing laws that Congress enacted. For a member of Congress [to say] we’re going to investigate officers for enforcing laws that we wrote—that’s just ridiculous.”
The interview comes amid escalating tensions in Minneapolis, where protesters have reportedly targeted an ICE facility. Homan directed sharp criticism at Minnesota Governor Tim Walz and Minneapolis Mayor Jacob Frey, accusing them of using “hateful” language that he claims emboldens agitators. He described agents facing attacks from “stones and frozen water bottles” and warned of dire consequences if the temperature isn’t lowered.

Homan also argued that local sanctuary policies are making communities less safe by forcing federal agents to conduct arrests in public spaces rather than in secure facilities. He issued a direct plea to Governor Walz: “Let us in the damn jail.”
According to Homan, allowing ICE agents access to local jails would permit them to apprehend public safety threats in a controlled environment, rather than “forcing us into the street to find these bad guys.”
Defending the Trump administration’s record, Homan stated that the border is more secure than ever and pushed back on meaningful critiques of mass deportation efforts.

“We got the law behind us,” Homan concluded. “We’re going to keep doing what we’re doing.”
