A young woman answered her door in Manhattan Wednesday morning believing she was getting a delivery — only to be choked unconscious by a stranger who then raped her, the NYPD said.
The victim, 27, told cops the man knocked on her door near 30th Street and Third Avenue just before noon and immediately began choking her when she answered, according to police.
“He made it look like he was delivering a package,” a police spokeswoman said.
The woman told cops the choking caused her to lose consciousness and that when she came to the man was raping her both vaginally and anally, according to police.
He somehow got her bank card and pin number before fleeing, cops said. She was taken to Bellevue Hospital.
