Love hurts.
A woman wearing a shirt emblazoned with the word “love” beat a Brooklyn laundromat worker with a bottle of detergent in a crazed caught-on-camera attack, police said Wednesday.
The unhinged assailant got into a quarrel with a woman working behind the counter inside the 6 Star Laundromat on Clarendon Road near E. 57th St. in East Flatbush about 5 p.m. Monday, cops said.
When the 47-year-old worker retreated into the back of the store, the woman stormed behind the counter and grabbed a blue bottle of detergent.
When the worker tried to stop her from taking the detergent the woman struck her in the head with it and ran off.
She then turned, charged the victim once again and struck her with the detergent bottle 10 more times, knocking the victim to the ground, before leaving the laundromat with a cart, startling video released by cops shows.
The worker suffered bruises to her face but declined medical attention.
Cops are asking the public’s help identifying and tracking down the assailant.
In addition to the “love” shirt, she was wearing a brown jacket and fluffy sandals.
Anyone with information is asked to call Crime Stoppers at (800) 577-TIPS. All calls will be kept confidential.
