An attempted home invasion in Indiana ended with one of the would-be burglars shot and killed after he and a partner tried to force their way into a home dressed as DoorDash drivers, according to court documents.
Grayson Rhue, 18, was found dead in the driveway of a home two houses down from the one he allegedly entered forcibly under false pretenses.
Ruai Ngundeng Pal, 22, was Rhue’s alleged accomplice and was arrested in Tennessee.
Authorities say Rhue and Pal brought bags of food from Taco Bell to the door of a home in Noblesville, Ind., while dressed as DoorDash delivery drivers, an allegation supported by doorbell camera footage from the residence.
When one of the occupants opened the door, they entered the home by force and Rhue pulled a gun, pointing it at one of the three people in the home.
One of the three, who were house-sitting and not residents of the home, then pulled his own gun and fired, fatally shooting Rhue.
Pal will be charged with several felonies, according to police, including armed robbery, burglary with a deadly weapon and murder.
