Majority of voters side with Trump on deploying National Guard to protect federal buildings: Poll

The poll comes after a judge blocked Trump from sending troops to Portland last week, ruling that the deployment violated both federal law and the 10th Amendment.

The poll, conducted last week, also found that 43% opposed Trump’s orders to send National Guard troops to protect ICE facilities, including 33% that strongly oppose it.

The numbers come in addition to the 53% of respondents who agree with Trump’s overall approach to immigration, including his ICE raids.
