On Friday, Justice Department officials unsealed an arrest warrant for Jose Ines Garcia Zarate – the illegal immigrant who was acquitted in the shooting death of Kate Steinle – in the Western District of Texas for allegedly violating his supervised release, The Hill reported.
Federal immigration officials had previously deported Zarate five times for illegally residing in the United States before the 2015 shooting in which Steinle was killed.
While Zarate was acquitted of murder and manslaughter charges on Thursday, he was convicted for being a felon in possession of a firearm.
The shooting took place on July 1, 2015, when Steinle was walking with her father along Pier 14 in San Francisco. Zarate fired a handgun, hitting Steinle, who died several hours later at a nearby hospital. The gun that Zarate used was stolen several days prior in downtown San Francisco from a vehicle belonging to the Bureau of Land Management.
President Donald Trump weighed in on the ruling over Twitter on Thursday and Friday, calling Zarate’s “exoneration” a “complete travesty of justice.”
A disgraceful verdict in the Kate Steinle case! No wonder the people of our Country are so angry with Illegal Immigration.

The Kate Steinle killer came back and back over the weakly protected Obama border, always committing crimes and being violent, and yet this info was not used in court. His exoneration is a complete travesty of justice. BUILD THE WALL!

The jury was not told the killer of Kate was a 7 time felon. The Schumer/Pelosi Democrats are so weak on Crime that they will pay a big price in the 2018 and 2020 Elections.
