Democratic presidential candidate Sen. Kamala Harris (Calif.) had an embarrassing moment on the campaign trail this week, and GOP affiliates were more than happy to share a video clip of the incident.
What are the details?
The Republican National Committee and a number of GOP staffers posted footage of Harris telling a Nevada audience, “I’m in the stage of the campaign where I’m kinda like, ‘You know what, I’m just gonna engage in real talk.’ I don’t want to waste your time with anything else.”
“In this election,” the 2020 hopeful continued, “In the last kind of couple — like, maybe couple months certainly few weeks — there’s this whole conversation that’s been coming up about electability…focused on our campaign.”
Harris then rhetorically asked, “Is America ready for that?” To which several audience members yelled out, “No!” The candidate was quick to correct the crowd, saying, “Yes they are.”

Harris’s campaign has been in a lag after she enjoyed a spike in the polls following her strong showing at the first Democratic primary debate.
On Thursday, Time magazine published a profile of Harris, and released the cover photo of their Oct. 14 print edition showing California’s junior senator while stating that the presidential candidate is fighting “for a path forward.”
Time writer Molly Ball ended her piece recalling another embarrassing recent moment for the Harris campaign, giving further perspective on how she is faring on the trail: “While Harris is still speaking, a few people begin to trickle out the back of the venue,” Ball wrote, explaining, “Elizabeth Warren is holding an event a little ways down the road, they tell me, and they don’t want to miss it.”
