A video disseminated widely on social media appears to show a critic of President Donald Trump making threats against Republicans at Arizona State University.
Arizona State University police said on Wednesday they were investigating the incident, Campus Reform reported.
“We are aware of a video circulating on social media where an individual appears to be making threats. We are working with the University to address the matter,” university police said in a tweet.
Footage posted to Twitter on Wednesday by Students for Trump at ASU showed a man threatening to “slash the throat” of “every f***ing Republican” and telling onlookers to “suck my b*lls.”
Trump was acquitted as expected in his impeachment trial by the U.S. Senate Wednesday.
Students for Trump at ASU referred to the individual as a “crazy leftist.”
The video has been viewed 2.3 million times since being uploaded to social media.
Students for Trump national chairman Charlie Kirk shared the 18-second-long clip to Twitter.
“This is the type of violence our students face every single day,” Kirk said in a caption to the video.

In 2018, therapists indicated a rise in what they unofficially diagnosed as “Trump Anxiety Disorder.”
Clinical psychologist Jennifer Panning – who is credited with originally coining the term – described the symptoms of “Trump Anxiety disorder” in a 2017 essay as worrying about the state of the country, feeling helpless and out of control, and spending too much time on social media.
