‘Come November there’s a war coming.’ Williamsburg police investigating social media video

Williamsburg police confirmed Thursday they are investigating a video circulating on social media in which a man seems to threaten violence if presidential candidate Joe Biden were to win the election in November.

“I don’t know if a lot of y’all understand this or not, but come November there’s a war coming,” the man says in the video.

The video has been shared on TikTok, Facebook and Twitter.

Village of Williamsburg Chief of Police Michael Gregory spoke with The Enquirer Friday morning, stating investigators are “still trying to work on figuring out who exactly (the man) is.”

“That’s part of the investigation,” Gregory said.

Gregory said a concerned citizen from California brought the video to the department’s attention. Gregory said they received the call within the last 24 hours, and another complaint came in through the department’s Facebook inbox with a link to the video.

“And from that point, we have opened an investigation into seeing what is going on,” Gregory said.

In the video, the man stands in his kitchen and says a “war” is coming no matter who wins the presidency.

“The reason why I say there’s a war coming is cuz if Trump wins, Black Lives Matter and all them other Antifa dumbasses are gonna try to start war. We ready, don’t worry. We ready, us rednecks and stuff, we ready for y’all. But if Biden wins, we coming, and we coming strong,” he said.
