Armed Trump Supporters Are Asked Why They’re ‘Dressed For War’

Several Trump supporters have been challenged over why they were so heavily armed on the streets following the Joe Biden election victory.

Sky News journalist Alex Crawford confronted the men who were carrying guns as well as wearing camouflage and what looked like bulletproof vests.

Crawford spotted the group walking the streets of Atlanta, Georgia, and ran over saying: “Excuse me sir, you’re a Trump supporter – can you tell me why you’ve come dressed like this?”

The anonymous man replied: “For security,” after being asked what there was to feel insecure about, he added: “On our rights, on the people.”

Crawford persisted, adding: “But you’ve come heavily armed as if you’re going to war,” at which point he looks up at Biden supporters saying: “You didn’t see them all day today, heavily armed?”

Alex asks the man to tell her what his fears are and he says: “My fears are that they’re going to destroy this nation,” as she asked why, the police moved in to separate the two lots of supporters.

As they got into a lift, Alex said: “You can see several heavily armed men all of them Trump supporters and all of them carrying pistols, long range rifles. Everything.”

Edging closer to the group, she asks once again: “Why have you come dressed like this, why have you come so heavily armed,” and a man in a Trump jumper simply replied: “Constitutional rights.”

On 7 November Joe Biden and Kamala Harris claimed victory and were celebrating their election win after securing the state of Pennsylvania – taking his electoral college vote to 284 and passing the 270 needed to win.

After it was announced that Biden is to become the 46th US President, he tweeted: “America, I’m honoured that you have chosen me to lead our great country.

“The work ahead of us will be hard, but I promise you this: I will be a President for all Americans – whether you voted for me or not. I will keep the faith that you have placed in me.”

Biden was declared the winner as the vote counting continued into its fifth day – after he was given a lead of more than 30,000 votes in Pennsylvania around 4pm UK time.
