Leader of Black Militia Group Arrested on Federal Charges of Pointing Guns At Federal Agents

John Fitzgerald Johnson, known as Grandmaster Jay has been arrested and charged with assaulting law enforcement officers for pointing a firearm at police in Kentucky earlier this year. The 57-year-old leader of the armed Black group the Not F-cking Around Coalition was arrested on Dec. 3 at his home in Ohio. The charges stem from a Sept. 4 incident in which law enforcement officials claim he interfered with federally deputized task force officers one day before planned protests in Louisville, Kentucky.

Johnson pointed an AR platform rifle at an FBI agent, a Secret Service agent, and three Louisville Metro officers while they were surveilling the area from the roof of a building. The officers claim they were suddenly blinded by a light which was from a flashlight mounted on Johnson’s rifle according to the Western District of Kentucky United States Attorney’s Office.
