Channel 4 ‘s Undercover Police: Hunting Paedophiles left viewers utterly sickened on Monday as an officer traded explicit messages about children with a suspected paedophile.
An unnamed and unidentified police officer masqueraded as a paedophile named Simon in a chat room where users traded child porn and confessed their disgusting desires.
And Simon, who engages in incest with his ten-year-old daughter called Jess, met a user who appeared to be a like-minded individual who shared horrific fantasies about little girls.
The user said he was interested in “boys to girls aged six to 15” and commented on how much he would enjoy Simon’s daughter’s “smell”.
The officers were disgusted as they appeared to work out that the name the user used was that of an already convicted paedophile, and they made the decision to pursue a meeting to catch him.
He was caught and arrested and the documentary tracked his court case while Simon continued to hunt more abusers.
Other users in the chatroom included “Gramps”, “pervyguy” and “preteenloveruk” with one openly offering to share “cp” meaning child porn.
Simon got a lot of attention online as many users asked him for photos of Jess, with one professing to like children aged 7-11, but adding they would be open to “going younger”.
At one point, the officer bursts into tears as he has to recall one of the most horrific child abuse images he has ever seen, barely able to describe it to the camera operators and needing to leave the room.
One viewer tweeted: “7 minutes in and im already feeling physically sick… disgusting people out there that should be jailed for life.”
A second added: “Watching # huntingpaedophiles and honestly, I’ve had to stop myself being sick twice already. This is why I could NEVER be a children & family social worker. I have SO much respect for my C&F colleagues.”
