Five teen girls climb fire escape to rob Bronx apartment, get away with Michael Kors purse, jewelry, cash

A group of teen girls were caught on video climbing a fire escape to break into a stranger’s Bronx apartment, making away with a Michael Kors purse, jewelry and $500 in cash, police said Sunday.

The five crooks scaled the building on Sheridan Ave. near E. 168th St. in Concourse about 7:30 p.m. April 11, cops said.

One burglar, wearing a Rugrats hoodie, pulled the fire escape ladder down the the ground while her friends gleefully recorded her on their cellphones, surveillance video released by cops shows.

The teens climbed the fire escape until they found an apartment with nobody home and broke in through the window, police said. They got away with a Michael Kors purse, jewelry, a Macy’s credit card and $500 in cash.

Cops are asking the public’s help identifying the suspects, all believed to be between 16 and 18, and tracking them down.
