AUSTIN (Talk1370.com) — A shooting call early Sunday morning saw a 16 minute response time from Austin Police officers – all because no officers were available to respond to the call.
The shooting happened around 5:30 a.m. Sunday morning at a club in the 9700 block of Reservoir Court, near Giles Lane and East U.S. Highway 290.
According to a post from Austin Police Association President Ken Casaday, the call reporting the shooting came in at 5:35 a.m., but no units were available across the city for 12 minutes, until 5:47 a.m. The first officer arrived on the scene four minutes later, at 5:51 a.m., 16 minutes from the time the call was first received.

Police say a search for a suspect is ongoing. The shooting appears to have been a disturbance between two vehicles; police say the victim may have been a bystander.
