The week in whoppers: CNN’s desperation, BLM’s new low and more

Diary of disturbing disinformation and dangerous delusions:

This headline from July 14, 2021:

Inflation has risen during President Biden’s tenure but CNN tried to paint a rosier picture.
NY Post composite

We say: The left is desperate for good economic news to protect President Joe Biden and Democrats’ congressional seats, but the feds say consumer prices in June rose 5.4 percent over the previous year, faster than at any time in 13 years. Economists are warning Americans to brace “for several years of higher inflation than” in decades. Concerns among the public hit their highest level in eight years. Who does CNN think it’s fooling?

This tweet:

We say: What a PR stunt! Texas state Rep. Gene Wu and other state Dems who fled to Washington to block voting-rights legislation (and avoid arrest) fancy themselves 1960s civil-rights activists making “sacrifices” for their “cause.” Some even sang “We Shall Overcome” (incorrectly using “will” instead of “shall”). Please. This is nothing more than political theater. (And Wu should proofread before tweeting.)

This statement:

“We’re going to face another test in 2022: a new wave of unprecedented voter suppression and raw and sustained election subversion. We have to prepare now.”

We say: Come on, man! Whose vote has been – or will be – “suppressed”? This is pure nonsense. Could Biden be trying to set the stage to claim the midterms were stolen?

We say: Are they serious? In siding with Cuba’s ruthless dictator (and blaming the US for recent protests), BLM is stooping to a new low – and showing its Marxist stripes. Protesters aren’t denouncing America; they’re waving American flags. Even Cuban President Miguel Díaz-Canel admits his government’s failures are at fault.
