As a television show which watches other people watch TV Gogglebox ensures to cover a range of genres to glean the reactions of its participants, but we’ve never quite seen a scene like this before. Watch the stars’ reactions to an x-rated scene involving a woman and a duck below:
On Gogglebox, we’ve watched the reactions to comedy, drama, horror and reality TV, but no matter what there’s often at least one or two comments from the cast members that leave viewers laughing.
Now, the stars have had to sit through a scene in which a duck gets intimate – and yes, I mean intimate – with a human woman.
The bizarre storyline came courtesy of Apple TV+’s Roar, a feminist anthology series starring Nicole Kidman and based on a book of short stories by Cecelia Ahern.
One of the stories is titled ‘The Woman Who Was Fed By A Duck’, and we’re not talking some type of comedic role-reversal where a duck throws bread at a woman.
Naturally, the cast members were left shocked, horrified and confused by the situation unfolding on their television screens, and they certainly weren’t the only ones.
Viewers at home might have got a bit of reprieve from the bizarre nature of the scenes as it was interspersed with the cast reactions, but that didn’t stop the X-rated moment between the woman and the duck from being any less disturbing.
Mary, of the iconic Giles and Mary, didn’t hold back in explaining to Giles exactly how the situation might unfold as she told her partner the duck could ‘use his beak as a penetrative tool’, prompting a shocked Giles to exclaim ‘no!’
Other viewers took to Twitter to share their horror, with one unable to comprehend the fact they had ‘really just watched a duck f**k a woman with my mum sat in the same room’ while another questioned: “WTAF have I just watched on Gogglebox, woman and a duck really??”
A third wrote: “Gogglebox has traumatised me with that duck scene. What the actual f.”
Thankfully siblings Pete and Sophie managed to find some humour in the matter – albeit slightly before the situation really hit its, ahem, climax – with Pete emphasising Sophie’s comment that the woman was undressing ‘seDUCKtively’.
Even Roar star Merritt Wever, who plays the woman in this particular scene, has admitted to avoiding the scene involving her character and the duck, telling Radio Times she has ‘not seen that part’.
“I was like, ‘You don’t have to carry that burden. You don’t have to watch it,” she said.
Wever said people have been asking what she thinks of the episode, but said she is more interested in ‘what the people who watch it and experience what we made feel about it’.
She admitted to being ‘nervous to hear how it is received’, but I think Gogglebox answered that question: with horror.
Viewers have been sharing their surprise as they watched the third episode of Netflix’s Sex/Life where there’s a rather unexpected full frontal scene:
When we say the scene is ‘unexpected’, we don’t mean the peen shot in general – it’s two blokes naked in a shower. The unexpected part comes after one of them turns around and shows off his trouser snake. Quite literally.
If you’ve not already watched it and need even more of a nudge, the show is the story of a love triangle between a woman, her hubby and former flame.
Billie Connelly, played by Sarah Shahi, is a mother-of-two who is married to Cooper Connelly (Mike Vogel). But she can’t stop pining over her ex boyfriend, Brad – played by Adam Demos. No clue as to why…

Viewers have been sharing their reactions to the scene in question over Twitter and TikTok with many not able to contain their amazement.
One wrote: “LMFAOOOOO nah this Sex/Life show on Netflix is wild. That shower scene in episode 3 is…HELLO.”
Another simply added: “Sex/Life episode 3 at 19:58 seconds. That’s it. That’s the tweet.” No wonder people are clamouring for a second season of Sex/Life.
Some people have suggested that it’s the aftermath of special effects, with one writing: “I don’t know who CGI’d that c*** on Brad in episode 3 of Sex/Life (Netflix), but I feel an award might be in order for that talented bit of handiwork. Suddenly the 110 degree heat outside feels fine. I’m fine. Really I am.”
So was he wearing a prosthetic for the scene… was it CGI? Is it real?!
During an interview with Collider, Stacy Rukeyser – the series’ creator – was asked if Adam used a body double. She responded, “No. That’s not a body double. I mean, people usually ask is it real or is it a prosthetic?”
Before continuing: “And I can tell you what Adam Demos says about it which is, a gentleman never tells. So, we are leaving that up to the viewer’s imagination.”
Adam Demos who stars in Netflix’s Sex/Life has responded to people who have suggested he used a body double for the full frontal scene in the third episode. This is one viewer’s reaction to it:
So, it’s safe to say people have been left rather surprised by little Adam… well not so little Adam actually.
This had led to suggestions that a body double was used for that shower scene to which Demos told EW: “I was okay with it because you read the script and know what you’re getting yourself into from the start, so I don’t think you would sign on to a show after reading the scripts and then say no last minute.”
He continued: “That doesn’t mean you can’t have discussions about comfort level, which they allowed us to have – and with the intimacy coordinator, so it felt a lot safer.”
So it seems Demos is saying he didn’t have a body double which has been cleared up by the creator. But what about a prosthetic? CGI? Real? SOMEONE TELL US.
During an interview with Collider, Stacy Rukeyser – the series’ creator – was also asked if Adam used a body double. She responded: “No. That’s not a body double. I mean, people usually ask is it real or is it a prosthetic?”Before continuing: “And I can tell you what Adam Demos says about it which is, a gentleman never tells. You can watch Sex/Life or just episode 3 on Netflix now and we’re hoping and praying a Sex/Life season 2 is on the horizon.

The statement added that his death was not Covid-related.
McGarry originally joined the programme for its second season in 2013, alongside wife Linda and her son, George Gilbey.
The family then returned to the show in 2016 for its seventh series, and continued to appear as regulars ever since.
Tributes have flooded in from fans of the show, including a tweet from one viewer who said: “So sad to hear of Pete McGarry from Gogglebox passing away! One of the OG families and icons. Will always remember that time his son kicked his shoe into Pete’s chippy.”
Another said: “Very sad to hear that Pete McGarry from #Gogglebox has died aged 71 after a short illness. Sending my warmest thoughts to his family at this tragic time.”
TV personality Paddy McGuinness added: “Such a shame, one of the OGs. RIP.”
In their private life, McGarry and his wife opened their doors to dozens of foster kids – an experience that they said was ‘very rewarding’.
Speaking to The Daily Star back in 2016, Linda said: “We’ve now fostered 68 children and it’s enhanced our lives so much.
“It’s very rewarding. I’ve just loved doing it. I always say all you need to be a foster parent is a spare room, a sense of humour and a good heart.
“I’ve just brought them up as my own. On Mother’s Day I get so many phone calls. They don’t forget you. A lot still regard me and Pete as their parents.”
Netflix users have taken to social media to share their reactions to a sex scene in the series Brand New Cherry Flavor after being completely caught off guard by its contents.
The drama series, which is rated 18, has been on the streaming service since last summer but it started to drum up attention online recently as viewers began to share their ‘blind’ reactions to one particular scene.
Given that it’s exactly what these baffled viewers have been doing, allow me to offer you a completely out-of-context summary of the scene.
It takes place in the fourth episode, approximately 35 minutes in, when the character Lisa gets a wound on her stomach, out of which pops a kitten. I know, I know, but stay with me.
After the cat emerges from the wound, Lisa invites over her new lover, Roy, to engage in what is depicted as a consensual sex scene which sees Roy stroking the space where the kitten popped out. He then takes the plunge and sticks his entire hand into the wound.
Needless to say, the entire situation is completely baffling, and left some viewers so uncomfortable that they couldn’t bear to watch it in its entirety.
TikTok user @siriuslycody was among those to be shocked by the scene, after which he encouraged other people to share their blind reactions. Another TikToker, Lucy Owen, obliged, and looked suitably horrified as she watched clip, unable to find the words to express her horror.
TikToker Daniel Abrahall also appeared positively disgusted as he wrote alongside the clip that his reaction was ‘genuine’ and added: “I’m literally scared and it just kept getting worse”.
The reactions aren’t much better on Twitter, with one person writing: “Something that I need to learn but will never do most of the time is MIND MY BUSINESS when people on Twitter/ Tik Tok tell you to check something out DONT DO IT! Brand New Cherry Flavor on Netflix Episode 4, Starting 35 Minutes into the episode will have you like WTF.”

In case you’re thinking that the rest of the show might make the scene somewhat less baffling, it doesn’t seem likely. The series stars Rosa Salazar as Lisa, a filmmaker who moves to Hollywood and meets producer-director Lou (Eric Lange), who promises to help her make it big in the movie business.
The series goes on to feature a witch, which is where the whole bizarre kitten situation starts to unfold. Basically, it’s all very bizarre.
