Mom claims she uncovered ‘Pandora’s box’ of inappropriate content on trans youth forum

A New York mom claims she has uncovered a “Pandora’s box” of inappropriate content on a transgender youth organization’s online forum — including adults pushing pre-teens towards gender transitions.

The mother, only identified as Rachel, told the National Review she went undercover on The Trevor Project’s forum because she has a gender-dysphoric child.

The horrified mom said she found a slew of posts where adults were also giving advice to kids on how to hide their transitions from their parents.

“I still feel more (masculine) and more (feminine) on days, but it doesn’t matter what I’m feeling I will always prefer to be a girl. Does that make me trans or am I still genderfluid? Help I don’t know,” a teen user wrote in one post, according to the outlet.

An adult responded: “If I had to guess based on your post, I’d say it sounds pretty trans.”

Other posts featured youths asking how they could buy chest binders and over-the-counter medication that stimulates hair growth without their parents finding out.

“I know the way people usually do this is by ordering it to a friend’s house or something of the sort, but I don’t have anyone to do that with,” one girl, under age 18, wrote.

Another user immediately suggested she mail it to a post office where she could retrieve it behind her parents’ backs.

Rachel claimed the posts showed the nonprofit organization — which has a suicide prevention line and other crisis services for LGBTQIA youth — was putting kids at risk instead of protecting them.

Rachel said she uncovered one post from an adult who was touting previous medical intervention and surgeries that remove all external genitalia to appear non-binary.

“I am loving my medical transition now, and have discovered FtN/MtN surgeries that I am now considering. I’m glad I took my time in figuring out what felt best for me,” the user said.

The mom said she also found posts where pre-teens were asking adults in the forums about their sexual preferences and fetishes.

The Trevor Project’s forums are open to those between ages 13 and 24, but there doesn’t appear to be a system in place to confirm a person’s age.

Rachel said she found a number of accounts in the forums that didn’t even include an age.

The Trevor Project didn’t immediately respond to The Post’s request for comment.

Rachel insisted she only decided to go undercover on the forum when she went searching for information on detransitioning for her own gender-dysphoric child, who she thought “was going to kill herself.”

She said the organization’s forums only included categories on “Transitioning,” “Fashion and beauty,” “Dysphoria,” and “Gender queer, non-binary, and gender fluid.”

The mom said there was nowhere for people to discuss detransitioning.
