Green leotard gang that robbed teens in New York subway identified as women with criminal past

Some of the suspects in neon green bodysuits who beat and robbed two teenage girls in the New York City subway have been revealed as women with a criminal history.

Four members of the ‘Green Goblin’ gang recorded shoving and punching two 19-year-old girls in a train car early Sunday have been caught and pictured.

They are identified as Ciante Alston, Mairam Cisse Issouf and Dariana Peguero, all 26, and Emily Soto, 34, according to Police Chief of Detectives James Essig. All four of the suspects live in the New York City Housing Authority’s Queensboro Houses.

Peguero has nine arrests in the past, while Alston has three prior arrests, Essig said. Soto has been arrested two times and Issouf has been cuffed once before.

Essig also provided more details around the bizarre attack at the Times Square station. It ‘originally stemmed from an apparent bump on the platform and spilled into the subway car,’ he said.

Bystander videos show at least a half-dozen women in full body suits assaulting the two victims. The suspects stole the teens’ phones, credit cards and wallets, among other items.

The remaining suspects are still at large.

Both teen victims declined medical care at the scene but were hospitalized afterward.

The mother of one of the victims said her daughter was ‘attacked by aliens, and I didn’t know what she was talking about’.

‘This is how she spent her 19th birthday,’ the mother who remained anonymous told the New York Post. ‘I hope they get what they deserve and then some because it’s disgusting.’
