Border Patrol Council head says Texas Gov. Abbott is doing best job of combatting border crisis

President of the National Border Patrol Council Brandon Judd is highly critical of the Biden administration and offers praise for Texas GOP Gov. Greg Abbott over their handling of the border crisis.

“Governor Greg Abbott has done more than any other governor in the United States as far as illegal immigration goes,” Brandon Judd said on Monday’s edition of the “Just the News, No Noise” TV show.

“There are certain boundaries to his authorities that he feels that he has,” Judd continued. “And one of those is if he directly expels individuals back to Mexico, he could run afoul of civil rights laws. If he runs afoul of any of those laws, then he could ultimately end up costing the taxpayers in Texas billions of dollars.”

Under the Biden administration illegal immigration has skyrocketed and according to Judd, Abbott has been talking to attorneys about the situation and seeing if he can do more.

“I believe that the Constitution does allow him to expel people immediately if he were to declare an invasion,” Judd stated. “You’re gonna hear some pundits say that he can’t do that. Because it’s not an invading army. The Constitution does not say anything about an invading army,” said Judd.

“In fact, I think that you could say that this is cartel driven, and therefore it is an organized effort to invade Texas,” Judd continued. “Under that I believe that he could declare an invasion, but I’m not an attorney. Abbott is listening to some very, very good attorneys, and he is trying to save the state of Texas as much money as he possibly can.”
