Megyn Kelly slammed “selfish activists” like Olympian Megan Rapinoe and WNBA player Sue Bird who have advocated for the right of men to compete against women in female sports.
The host of the Sirius XM “The Megyn Kelly Show” podcast on Monday tweeted to her two million followers that Rapinoe and Bird are already professional athletes who aren’t going to be affected by this and the only opinion on the matter should be parents with young girls in sports.
“Their opinions don’t mean more because they are/were pro athletes,” Kelly wrote.
“Anyone who has a daughter has a greater right to be heard than these selfish activists who know this change won’t affect them,” the podcast host added. “They can TAKE A SEAT.”

The former Fox News host’s post included a headline from OutKick that read, “Megan Rapinoe and Sue Bird among group of prominent female athletes who really, really want men to be allowed to compete against women for some reason.”

The article talked about how the leftwing political activist has joined with other female athletes opposing the Protection of Girls and Women in Sports Act. Rapinoe, Bird and more signed a letter to the legislature opposing the move that would make policies prohibiting biological men trans athletes from competing on female sports teams.
The act or House Bill 734 would amend Title IX “to provide that for purposes of determining compliance with Title IX of such Act in athletics, sex shall be recognized based solely on a person’s reproductive biology and genetics at birth,” Fox News noted.
House Bill 734 also said it would be a violation of the act for “a recipient of Federal financial assistance who operates, sponsors, or facilitates athletic programs or activities to permit a person whose sex is male to participate in an athletic program or activity that is designated for women or girls.”
Kelly has been very vocal in her opposition to allowing biological men to compete against women in female sports.
The former NBC host recently told Daily Wire Editor Emeritus Ben Shapiro she’s now crossed the “Rubicon” and gone from telling others to be tolerant to being an “activist” against men being in girls’ spaces.
“Like, get out, get out of our swimming pools, get out of our locker rooms, get off of our track meets, get out of there,” Kelly said. “We’ll find an accommodation for you. Hopefully you’ll get the help you need. But we are not surrendering girlhood or womanhood to you and your mental issues.”
