SAN FRANCISCO, CALIFORNIA: Conservative women have been taking to their social media to share the numbers of days they have lived as a woman, in outrage over Bud Light’s campaign celebrating Dylan Mulvaney’s ‘365 days of girlhood’. The 26-year-old controversial influencer, who came out as a trans woman in March 2022, announced on April 1 that she has become an ambassador for Bud Light.
Mulvaney also revealed that the beer company sent her special edition Bud Light packs with her face as a way to celebrate her “365 Days of Girlhood” milestone. On her Instagram handle, Mulvaney shared a video of herself flaunting a beer can with her face printed on it. “Happy March Madness!! Just found out this had to do with sports and not just saying it’s a crazy month #budlightpartner,” Mulvaney wrote on Instagram. The collaboration was met with backlash on social media where users labelled it as just another attempt to spread gender propaganda.
‘Womanhood is so much more than just dressing up in makeup’
Now many women have decided to retaliate against the campaign by sharing their own ‘days of womanhood’ on social media, according to Daily Mail. Lauren Boebert, the firebrand Republican congresswoman representing Colorado, tweeted, “Today, I celebrate 13,262 days of being a woman. I’ve been pregnant five times (miscarried in 2012) and gave birth to four incredible boys that came out of my womb. Any day now, one of those four boys will make me a grandmother. Womanhood is so much more than just dressing up in makeup and a skirt for internet videos.”

“Today I celebrate 12,620 days of real womanhood,” tweeted one user, adding “Where’s my sponsorship? @budweiserusa @Tampax @Nike.” Another said, “Today I celebrate 18,155 days of womanhood. I’ve held 8 babies in my womb. I gave birth to/raised 6. I went through triple-negative breast cancer & would’ve had ovarian cancer had I not had my ovaries removed in time. No man can say these things, even if he appropriates my gender.”

“Today, I celebrate 15,330 days of being a woman. I’ve been pregnant 2 times (lost my 1st baby due to my below-mentioned medical conditions) and gave birth to a beautiful biological baby girl that came out of my womb,” the third user said, adding “No man can say he has done these things because You cannot change your gender.” One woman posted a photo of her pregnant stomach, and wrote, “Today, I celebrate 12,065 days of being a woman I’m a sister, aunt, daughter, granddaughter, and now a mother. I’ve endured 229 menstrual cycles. I’ve been pregnant one time & gave birth to a beautiful baby boy. My body grew a human child, and my body is now feeding a human child.”

Dylan Mulvaney’s controversial collabs
Ever since Bud Light’s campaign has come to light, Mulvaney has become the hot topic of the town. She came out as a trans woman in March 2022 and shot to prominence by chronicling her ‘Days of Girlhood’ on TikTok, detailing her experience of transitioning. Earlier this year, Mulvaney, who has more than 10 million followers on social media, walked her first Grammys red carpet and candidly shared with her fans the results of her facial feminization surgery.
In honor of her 221st day as a woman, Mulvaney paid a visit to the White House in October. There, she spoke with Joe Biden on transgender healthcare, and the president expressed his belief that “people fear what they don’t know.” Besides Bud Light, the San Diego native has struck deals with Ulta Beauty, Crest, EOS, CeraVe, Native, Kitchen Aid, and Instacart, among others. Mulvaney recently sparked another social media war after she appeared in a skincare company ad for Olay Women.
