Former FBI agent, 57, arrested in Queens for possessing child pornography, including infant abuse videos

NEW YORK (1010 WINS) — A former FBI agent was arrested on child pornography charges after a raid on his Queens home Wednesday, the Queens District Attorney’s Office announced Friday.

Officers found hundreds of videos and images of child sex abuse on one of 57-year-old John Magri’s computers. Most of the pornography depicted children around the age of six or younger, and some showed infants being abused.

“The horrific allegations against the defendant are all the more disturbing given that he was someone who had sworn to uphold the law,” said Queens DA Melinda Katz. “The exploitation of children simply will not be tolerated.”

Magri was arraigned Thursday on charges of promoting a sexual performance by a child, possession of sexual performances by a child and obscenity.

His next court date slated for August 14.
