Joe Biden and His Latest “Creepy” Interaction Went Viral – Former President Joe Biden made the rounds on social media last weekend after a video circulated that showed him “nibbling” on a young girl during his visit to Finland.
The footage showed him leaning in as he sniffed the child, and according to media reports, the girl seemed mortified by the antics of the 80-year-old president.
Critics of Biden quickly pounced and described him as a “creep,” while a few supports suggested it was just Biden acting like an old man reacting to a small child – and that it was done so in a grandfatherly way.
There Was an Old Man in Nantucket…
However, this was hardly the first time that Biden has been in the spotlight for questionable behavior involving children – usually girls – or young women.
Just last November, the president posed in a window with two young girls while he was visiting Nantucket.
Though the girls were delighted, the image was seen as a bit creepy as he glared through the window (and possibly spurred some not-print-friendly limericks in the process).
Not the First Time Biden’s Been Labeled a “Creep”…
President Joe Biden’s history of strange behavior has been going on so long that one might wonder whether the UK alt-rock band Radiohead wrote their 1993 signature anthem “Creep” about the lawmaker.
They didn’t of course, and it was written by frontman Thom Yorke about his feeling of alienation and failure to assert himself in a masculine way.
If anything, Biden doesn’t feel alienated in the least, and he often asserts himself showing absolutely no understanding of boundaries. In fact, the problem was noted by Biden – or more likely his handlers – in the run-up to the 2020 election, as he promised to be “much more mindful” of people’s personal space.
Joe Biden And a History of Strange Behavior…
Biden has an odd history that includes offering unsolicited “dating” advice to a girl in California, telling her “No serious guys until you’re 30;” while a video clip that showed him sniffing another young girl’s hair at an ice cream shop in Oregon went viral last year.
Former Nevada lawmaker Lucy Flores had previously said that Biden had come up behind her, smelled her hair, and kissed the back of her head, which she said made her feel uncomfortable in the process – while former congressional staffer Amy Lappos had claimed that Biden had rubbed her nose with his nose at a fundraiser.
These are not isolated events.
In 2019, then candidate-Biden attempted to explain his actions stating, “I shake hands, I hug people, I grab men and women by the shoulders and say, ‘You can do this.’ Whether they are women, men, young, old, it’s the way I’ve always been. It’s the way I show I care about them, that I listen. Social norms have begun to change, they’ve shifted. And the boundaries of protecting personal space have been reset. And I get it. I get it. I hear what they’re saying, I understand it. And I’ll be much more mindful. That’s my responsibility and I’ll meet it.”
Instead of mindful, Biden has seemed to have gotten a noseful recently – while he apparently hasn’t really taken responsibility on this issue of getting all too close.
It should also be noted that the one young girl Biden doesn’t seem to want to sniff, nibble or even acknowledge is his actual grandchild – the illegitimate daughter of his son Hunter Biden.
When it comes to her, Biden isn’t interested in even admitting she exists.
