A biblical worldview has been on the decline and survey after survey reveals hard truths for faithful Christians trying to live a biblical life in a secular culture. But a new book on the topic can help Christians prepare themselves for inevitably tough decisions and conversations.
Dr. Michael Youssef’s new book, “How to Read the Bible (as if Your Life Depends on It),” addresses the “tragedy we are in right now.”
“Less than 10% of Christians, I’m talking about Christian believers, do not read the Bible regularly,” said Dr. Youssef in a recent interview with The Washington Times’ Higher Ground. “Now, that is suicide. When you have such biblical illiteracy, it will make it very easy for the populace to be deceived.”
His new book will help believers (and nonbelivers alike) read and understand the Scriptures in a new and profound way, not just as the storybook they remember from childhood.

“From a big picture point of view, Satan hates the Bible and so he, from … the other side of the invisible world, he is moving all the props and all his soldiers to attack the Bible,” said Dr. Youssef. “It’s a free-for-all all now in terms of attacking scripture.’”
