A judge has ordered a janitor to stay away from all schools after he was arrested for allegedly installing hidden cameras inside a Texas elementary school’s bathrooms.
Erik Fernando Carreon, 41, was arrested at Hoyland Elementary School in Houston. Authorities accuse him of setting up cameras in the bathrooms, which were used by the school’s teachers and staff.

The cameras were detected on Jan. 2, and administrators had bathrooms in all the district’s schools swept for additional devices.
Carreon was fired after the district learned of the allegations. He’s charged with felony invasive visual recording in a bathroom.
The married stepfather has been released on $10,000 bond. Court records show he’s due back in court today, where he’ll likely be asked to enter a plea.

The Spring Independent School District issued a statement to the station, saying, in part, “We have no tolerance here in Spring ISD for criminal acts, especially those that would violate the safety, privacy and well-being of our staff and students.”
Added the statement: “The district is proud of the swift action and vigilance of our campus staff and police department, which brought this incident to a quick resolution.”
