Police said the women allegedly forced their way into a home, assaulted two residents and took a 2-year-old girl from the home. The victims are the grandparents of the child and were taking care of her when the dispute happened.

Alexander is the biological mother of the 2-year-old, but she does not have custody of the child.

Police responded to the residence at around 6:30 p.m. for an emergency disturbance call involving a weapon.

The grandparents told officers at the scene that the suspects allegedly broke into their home and assaulted them with multiple items, including a baseball bat and pepper spray. The women then drove away with the child.

Officials determined that the suspects were allegedly driving back home to Texas with the child. Alexander and Williams were located and apprehended by Georgia State Patrol on Interstate 85.
