Illinois Mayor Tiffany Henyard Accused Of Dressing Like A TV Gangster, Blowing Money Fast, Using Cops To Harass Enemies, And Shutting Down Local Businesses That Won’t Donate To Campaign

Dolton, Illinois Mayor Tiffany Henyard is catching major heat after being accused by residents of dressing like a TV gangster, blowing thousands in money fast on a lavish lifestyle and vacations, using cops to harass alleged enemies, and shutting down local businesses that won’t donate to her campaign.

Henyard was first elected in 2021 and describes herself as a “super mayor” of the small town of Dolton, which is 20 miles south of Downtown Chicago. The town is classified as a village with about 20,000 residents. Currently, Henyard is being compared to a TV gangster and a South American dictator by her aggrieved residents.

In recent weeks, Dolton, Illinois Mayor Tiffany Henyard has also been accused of dressing like a TV gangster and blowing money fast, specifically spending thousands in public funds on lavish vacations and restaurants, and also hiring DJs for town hall meetings — all while the village falls into a $5 million ditch of debt. She’s even been accused of having a DJ blast Rihanna’s “B*tch Better Have My Money” as she “sashayed” around a meeting room to make a point.

However, according to Dolton, Illinois Mayor Tiffany Henyard’s bold and plentiful signs, she says she’s simply “Keeping my promises. Fighting for my residents.”

Meanwhile, one 66-year-old male resident commented on all of Henyard’s signs and billboards and told the New York Post, “It’s Venezuela. Isn’t that what they are doing out there with [President Nicolás] Maduro? His face is all over, like ‘I’m the dictator.’ It’s like a dictator. There is no call for it. I’ve never seen a town that’s more screwed up under her, and I’ve seen 20 years of this malarkey.”

Another resident, who also wished to remain nameless out of fear of revenge, said, “She’s … power hungry. She doesn’t care how much she bleeds an area out of resources. It’s her life and that’s it. In this town, the people have to watch. A lot of these people are scared because this police department is militaristic right now with her in it.”

Belcher said, “She’ll have the police follow you and give tickets. I went out of town and she had one of the officers … give me tickets … It was a manipulation tactic.” Belcher said she confronted Collins who didn’t hesitate to name Henyard. She said, “He looked down at me and said, ‘She told me to write them.’”

Speaking on her own experiences with Dolton, Illinois Mayor Tiffany Henyard, Belcher said they previously worked together as town trustees, and she even supported Henyard during her mayoral campaign. However, she claimed their relationship took a turn after the election.

Belcher spoke on Henyard blowing money fast and said, “We thought it would be something great — a young person in office. She had already been on the board. It was a different outlook for the town forward. It started probably two weeks after she had been in office as mayor. We got a bill for the inauguration. The bill was like $15,000. It was a big party, basically.”

Belcher said Henyard promised to pay with campaign funds, but the village ended up paying it — reportedly marking the start of town-funded parties. Belcher said Henyard’s constant blowing money fast has become a serious problem, explaining, “The spending has become unbearable for the residents. It’s parties and a lot of events.

Belcher also noted that the village has accumulated bills of around $1 million from Henyard allegedly paying overtime to cops serving as her personal bodyguards — which reportedly began in 2021 after a protest sparked by a fatal police-involved incident.
