Man arrested for sending LI library into lockdown over threat to shoot workers

UNIONDALE, N.Y. (1010 WINS/WCBS 880) — A Brooklyn man was arrested Thursday morning for sending a Long Island library into lockdown over a threat to shoot workers, detectives said.
Officers responded to the Uniondale Library for a disturbance around 9:25 a.m. Thursday.{snip}The statement prompted the library to go into a lockdown, according to officials.

Desir was located outside the library and was placed into police custody without incident.

Desir was charged with making a terroristic threat and two counts of menacing.

He will be arraigned on Friday.
