Ohio sheriff reveals controversial plan to house illegal migrants as he asks residents to ‘write down all the addresses’ with Kamala Harris campaign signs

An Ohio sheriff is asking residents to write down the addresses of homes that show support towards Kamala Harris in the presidential campaign, suggesting they could be forced to house illegal immigrants that are deluging the state in the future.

Sheriff Bruce Zuchowski of Portage County, southeast of Cleveland, has suggested locals look out homes displaying lawn signs for the Democratic presidential candidate and in particular for Harris/Walz.

‘Sooo…when the Illegal human ‘Locust’ (which she supports!) need places to live… We’ll already have the addresses of the their new families… who supported their arrival!’, Zuchowski stated in a post to Facebook using anti-immigrant rhetoric.

In comments under his Facebook posting, which has been shared hundreds of times, one supporter replied, ‘I’ll add that name to the list,’ while another commented, ‘Making a list and checking it twice.’

Zuchowski faces a Democratic challenger to his re-election bid in November.

In the 2020 election, Portage County voted 55 percent for Trump while 43 percent chose Biden.

‘Everyone has their own thought process on how they should represent their party. I disagree with that behavior.

‘[Zuchowski] posted that we should all copy down the addresses of the people that display political signs which are different from our beliefs.

‘It scares people. It’s called bullying – from the highest law enforcement official in Portage County.’

The posting by Zuchowski comes as Ohio has been in the headlines over the sudden influx of tens of thousands of Haitian migrants to the city of Springfield in the southwest corner of the state, about 200 miles from Portage county.

Locals living in the town of just 60,000 say the infrastructure cannot cope with with the arrival of so many at once and now residents say that crime is fast becoming an issue.

‘This is a paycheck-to-paycheck… kind of town… working class. The citizens that depend on our social services like health care, going down to the SS office for benefits are waiting in line, and not getting the services they need.’

Springfield suddenly found itself at the center of a storm after Ohio Senator JD Vance claimed on X that people have had their ‘pets abducted and eaten by people who shouldn’t be in this country.’

The claim was then repeated during Trump’s presidential debate with Kamala Harris while speaking on the issue of immigration and border security.

Trump went further to claim how Haitian refugees had been ‘eating the dogs, the people that came in, they’re eating the cats.

‘They’re eating the pets of the people that live there, and this is what’s happening in our country, and it’s a shame,’ Trump said in the response.

‘In response to recent rumors alleging criminal activity by the immigrant population in our city, we wish to clarify that there have been no credible reports or specific claims of pets being harmed, injured or abused by individuals within the immigrant community,’ the city added in a statement.
