Transgender activists staged an outrageous takeover of the United States Capitol women’s toilets to protest Republicans’ congressional trans bathroom ban.
Protesters have flocked to Washington, DC as the Supreme Court hears a case over the constitutionality of a Tennessee law denying transgender minors gender-affirming care.
Republicans have been emboldened by Donald Trump‘s win in the presidential election and South Carolina Representative Nancy Mace introduced a bill to ban transgender women from using female restrooms on Capitol Hill.

Newly elected Sarah McBride, who will become the first openly transgender lawmaker when sworn into office in January, will have to use the men’s facilities.
As the Supreme Court heard the most high-profile case of its term on Wednesday, transgender activists decided to record a dance number take over of the Capitol building’s women’s restroom.
The group of protesters – including trans actress James Rose – danced to Meeting in the Ladies Room by Klymaxx.
Video of the demonstration starts with a panorama of the interior of the Capitol building entrance, then turns into the nearby restroom that is filled with a dancing group of trans, non-binary and cis-gendered people.

The others activists include non-binary influencer Jerome Trammel, comedian Elizabeth Booker Houston, influencer Alexis Rose, transgender model June Raven Romero and activist Hope Giselle-Godsey.
‘We understand the weight of what it means to be a pariah in our society, so doing what’s necessary is never too hard. It always starts with things that people feel are insignificant, like public restrooms, but it never stops there,’ Giselle-Godsey told Gaye Magazine.
‘We’re here today to ensure they understand that we will not be erased—one bathroom at a time—or shoved back into the proverbial closet out of deference to the comfort of those who speak to eradicate us.’
Defendant supporters left comments applauding the video and encouraging the groups antics.
‘Now I’m going to be disappointed every time I go into a public restroom and don’t see dancing,’ one person said.

Mace’s bathroom proposal caused a trans war to break out on Capitol Hill with Delaware Democrat Representative-elect McBride blasting Republicans claiming they were using it as a ‘distraction’ tactic.
Mace fired off a brutal response when asked why she does not want the first trans member of Congress to use women’s restrooms.
‘If being a feminist makes me an extremist I’m totally here for it,’ the South Carolina Republican sharply told a reporter.
‘I’m a victim of abuse myself. I’m a rape survivor. I have PTSD from the abuse I’ve suffered at the hands of a man, and I know how vulnerable women and girls are in private spaces.
‘So I’m absolutely, 100 percent going to stand in the way of any man who wants to be in a women’s restroom, in our locker rooms, [or] in our changing rooms.’
Johnson, the GOP leader, finally weighed in on the controversy in a statement saying McBride would have to use the restroom of her biological sex.

‘It is important to note that each Member office has its own private restroom, and unisex restrooms are available throughout the Capitol,’ he went on. ‘Women deserve women’s only spaces.’
