Mayor Of Philadelphia Embarrasses Herself Into Oblivion After Terribly Botching ‘E-A-G-L-E-S’ Chant

Just … how?

Some spell better than others, sure, and maybe this is the writer coming out of me, but I thought everybody could spell the word ‘eagles.’ It’s just one of those words. But apparently I was wrong, because Democratic Philadelphia Mayor Cherelle Parker butchered the hell out of it. And I mean butchered it — she wasn’t even close!

While speaking Sunday at an event prior to the NFC divisional game between her city’s Eagles and the Los Angeles Rams, Parker tried to close things out with some team spirit by kicking off the ‘E-A-G-L-E-S’ chant. Yeah …

{snip}

“Let me hear you all say, E-L-G-S-E-S, Eagles! Go birds,” hilariously yelled the mayor.

LMAO … what?

I’m with @NatCon2022. I want to see her spell ‘Philadelphia’ after she botched ‘Eagles.’ That would be crazy if she couldn’t spell her own city’s name. I was actually tempted to send an email to the Philly mayor to see if she could or not. After all, this is a story! But out of respect for the serious reporters here at the Daily Caller, I chose to keep the trolling to myself.

But man, that would be hilarious. Like seriously, just imagine if the mayor of Philadelphia couldn’t spell ‘Philadelphia’.
