Outrage as drag queen performs ‘disgusting’ reenactment of Trump assassination attempt

The unnamed performer carried out the simulation of the firing at Trump, while he was on the campaign trail last year, at a bar in New Orleans and it has now gone viral on social media.

Posted by Libs of TikTok, the drag queen, wearing a black cowboy-style hat and dressed in leather, can be seen walking down the stage and making a gun gesture with their hands.

Then the performer using their hands pretends that they are also shooting at the new United States president. And at the same time the Rihanna song Man Down with the lyric “I pulled out that gun”, is played.

It caused a storm on social media with some people believing that it broke the law and one person wrote: “That is a direct threat! Arrest her now.” Another commented on X: “This is just ridiculous. I don’t care what side of the aisle you are on. Giving this type of lunacy a platform is disgusting and dangerous.”

While a further stated: “Normally, I would say that clearly this is ‘art’ and covered under 1A rights, but this crosses the line in so many ways.” But there were others who took a more lighthearted view of the incident and did not believe it to be so serious. One person wrote: “It’s entertainment folks. Lighten up. Remember tolerance goes both ways now.”

It later was revealed that he was struck in the ear by 20-year-old shooter Thomas Matthew Crooks of Bethel Park, Pennsylvania, who opened fire from an unsecured rooftop nearby before he was fatally shot by sharpshooters. The building from which Crooks fired was completely obscured by tractor-trailers, a large grassy perimeter and a fence.

“I knew immediately that something was wrong in that I heard a whizzing sound, shots, and immediately felt the bullet ripping through the skin. Much bleeding took place,” Trump wrote on his social media site afterwards.
