

A Tennessee man has been charged with homicide after police say he shot and killed his roommate after believing he had entered his bedroom without permission.
Davis Owolo Jr., 24, was being held without bond in connection with the killing of his roommate, Johnia Ishan Wilson, 33, on Wednesday night, The Metropolitan Nashville Police Department said in a press release.

“Owolo was reportedly upset that Wilson may have attempted to enter his room when he wasn’t home, which Wilson denied,” The Metropolitan Nashville Police Department said in a statement. “Witnesses present attempted to deescalate the situation before shots were fired.”

Owolo Jr. fled the home with his girlfriend after the alleged shooting, according to Nashville police, who say he surrendered at a police station Thursday morning.
The 24-year-old has been charged with criminal homicide, according to Nashville police.
