A trans activist lashed out at a fellow student inside a Texas university with a bike lock over their conservative views.
Liam Thanh Tam Nguyen, 21, is currently being held at the Collin County Jail following the incident on the University of Texas at Dallas on Tuesday.
Nguyen, who also goes by the name Alyssa, lashed out at student members of Turning Point USA, a conservative group that supports right wing politics.

The clip cuts short abruptly, with Kirk saying in his post that the attacker had been swinging the Turning Point chapter president Paige Neumann.
Kirk said that the lock slammed against the side of her head, and shattered her phone in the process.
In the clip, the individual can be seen attempting to cycle away from the scene following the incident.
The chain of their bicycle appears to come off however but it is quickly fixed, with the person seen fleeing.
According to The Dallas Observer, Nguyen was charged with two felony counts of aggravated assault with a deadly weapon.

According to his Collin County Jail records, his preferred name is listed as ‘Alyssa’ and is biologically male.
Kirk said: ‘Paige has filed a police report with University Police who are thankfully taking this matter seriously and are currently searching for the individual.
‘Thankfully, Paige and her chapter VP Grace (whose phone was also destroyed) are both physically doing okay.
‘Our Turning Point students are the tip of the spear on college campuses across the country. They are brave, strong, and resilient. Thank God for these amazing students.’

Musk posted to X saying: ‘The left is the party of violence and hate’, to which Kirk replied: ‘Very sorry for how intimately you know this to be true.’
Another person added: ‘University professors keep teaching that conservatives are purveyors of hate and threats to democracy. Indoctrination works—some students actually believe it.’

‘Find her and bring her to justice. Violence has no place in politics or on our University campuses.’
A spokesperson for the University said that it had happened on their campus, and confirmed the charges brought against Nguyen.
