A gay makeup artist with no criminal history who came to the United States last year in search of asylum was deported to an El Salvadorian prison as a part of the Trump administration’s mass deportation efforts. It comes as Trump suffers a shocking mental collapse after a ‘senile’ moment on stage in the middle of a speech.
Andry Hernandez Romero, is one of 238 Venezuelan migrants deported to El Salvador’s notorious Terrorism Confinement Center or CECOT under the Alien Enemies Act. His family and lawyer tell CBS News’ 60 Minutes that Hernandez Romero was deported three weeks ago and they have not heard from him since. Meanwhile, insiders have explained Trump’s sinister reason for his loyalty to Elon Musk.

Hernandez Romero left his native Venezuela last May because he was targeted in the country for being gay, his lawyers say. He made the perilous journey through the dangerous Darien Gap, a 60-miles roadless stretch of mountains and jungles between Colombia and Panama before arriving in Mexico. He eventually was able to secure an asylum appointment in the U.S. and crossed legally into the country in San Diego and was taken into custody while his case proceeded.
Toczylowski said he had a strong asylum case. Hernandez Romero had already completed the first step in the asylum process, known as credible fear interview. “And the government had found that his threats against him were credible and that he had a real probability of winning an asylum claim,” Toczylowski said.
Photos taken by Time magazine photographer Philip Holsinger show Hernandez Romero at CECOT. Holsinger said he heard a young man say, “I’m not a gang member. I’m gay. I’m a stylist.”

She added that she fears for her clients safety in a prison known for horrific conditions and violence. “We have grave concerns about whether he can survive,” Toczylowski said.
The administration claims that Hernandez Romero is a member of the Venezuelan gang Tren de Aragua. Like many others deported under the Alien Enemies Act, the only evidence presented in court against Hernandez Romero were his tattoos of a crown.
“These are tattoos that not only have a plausible explanation because he is someone who worked in the beauty pageant industry, but also the crowns themself were on top of the names of his parents,” Toczylowski said. “The most plausible explanation for that is that his mom and dad are his king and queen.”

Toczylowski said she doubted that U.S. Immigration officials know something about her client that she does not.
“But if it was possible that they had some information, they should follow the Constitution, present that information, give us the ability to reply to it,” she said.
