Minnesota law enforcement officials confirmed on Saturday that the suspect involved in the murder and attempted murder of four people, including state lawmakers, had the names of other elected officials and anti-Trump “No Kings” protest flyers in his vehicle.

“When we did a search of the vehicle, there was a manifesto that identified many lawmakers and other officials. We immediately made alerts to the state. We took action on alerting them and providing security where necessary,” said Brooklyn Park Police Chief Mark Bruley, according to the Associated Press.
State Patrol Col. Christina Bogojevic said during a presser that the suspect had “No Kings” flyers in his car, displaying a photo of the materials (see below). “No Kings” is a reference to nationwide left-wing protests taking place on Saturday to object to President Donald Trump.
Organizers of “No Kings” protests in the state of Minnesota have canceled today’s events.

The pair were attacked in their homes. Rep. Hortman and her spouse were killed in what Gov. Tim Walz said was a “politically motivated assassination.” Hoffman and his wife were both shot numerous times, but are expected to survive.
