Rioters Storm Oregon ICE Building, Injure Officers

Rioters stormed a building used by Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) in Portland, Oregon, late Saturday night.

The riot took place after an anti-Trump “No Kings” demonstration in the city. At least four officers were injured in the attack, which included the rioters hurling fireworks, smoke grenades and rocks, Assistant Secretary of Homeland Security for Public Affairs Tricia McLaughlin told the Daily Caller News Foundation.

President Donald Trump ordered the deployment of 700 Marines to back up the deployment of federalized National Guard troops in Los Angeles on Monday as the riots continued past the weekend. The anti-ICE unrest has since spread to other cities across the U.S., and police declared a riot near the Portland ICE facility Saturday evening, according to local outlet Fox 12 Oregon.

Resistance to ICE operations to arrest illegal immigrants has also included a Milwaukee judge who allegedly helped an illegal immigrant briefly evade ICE agents sent to arrest him and Democratic Mayor Freddie O’Connell of Nashville reportedly releasing the names of federal agents involved in a crackdown on illegal immigrants present in the city.
