‘I’m Not Being Racist’: Ana Navarro Gaslights Conservative Columnist After Dismissing Him ‘As A White Man’

CNN commentator Ana Navarro told conservative columnist Brad Polumbo Monday his opinion about her rhetoric on operations by United States Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) was not valid because of his race before claiming she never meant that.

ICE executed a search warrant Thursday at a Southern California marijuana farm, rescuing at least ten minors there, eight of whom were reportedly unaccompanied.

“I want to respond to you saying that I was hyperbolic when I talked about a reign of terror,” Navarro told Polumbo, who responded, “Because that is hyperbolic.”

“No, it might be hyperbolic for you as a white man, It’s certainly not hyperbolic for me as a Latino. No, I’m not being racist,” Navarro said as Polumbo reacted with, “Oh, okay. To dismiss my opinion as a white man?”

Border czar Tom Homan told reporters during a May 30 press gaggle that assaults on ICE agents are increasing and that the “doxxing” of agents reached “an all-time high.”

“When you invoke it to dismiss my being a white man, it’s an insult, when you invoke it-” Polumbo said before Navarro interrupted him with, “Do you think? Do you do you think Latinos are living under circumstances that other people may not be right now in this country?”

“CNN NewsNight” host Abby Phillip intervened on Navarro’s behalf.

“She basically said I’m wrong because I’m a white man,” Polumbo responded.

Since July 4, gunmen attacked a Border Patrol facility in McAllen, Texas, and an ICE office in Alvarado, Texas. During the Thursday operation in Southern California, over 500 people attacked the ICE agents, according to a Department of Homeland Security press release.
