The White House now has its sights on ‘The View’ to be the next show canceled for going against President Donald Trump.
On the Hot Topics portion of Wednesday’s show, the panel discussed an allegation made by Trump, who said former President Barack Obama should be criminally investigated for his role in developing the Trump–Russia collusion theory.

“First of all, who tried to overthrow the government on Jan. 6?” Behar said. “Who was that again? That was not Obama. The thing about him is he’s so jealous of Obama, because Obama is everything that he is not: Trim, smart, handsome, happily married, and can sing Al Green’s song ‘Let’s Stay Together’ better than Al Green. And Trump cannot stand it. It’s driving him crazy. Green is not a good color.”
White House spokesperson Taylor Rogers hinted the show could be “pulled off-air” if Behar didn’t stop speaking against Trump.

Entertainment Weekly reported on the response from “The View.”
A spokesperson said the show “is up in total viewers and women 18-49, versus the comparable weeks last season, to its most-watched in four years.”

Last week, CBS announced “The Late Show with Stephen Colbert” will end its run next May, per Fox News.
The network said it was a “purely a financial decision” to cancel the show. The announcement came days after Colbert ranted about a settlement reached between Trump and Paramount — CBS’ parent company — in a show.
