Victoria’s Secret Clearly Isn’t Tired of Being Broke and Think They Can Fool You With Angels Announcement

Victoria’s Secret is apparently not tired yet of being broke after going woke, and the company thinks they can fool you with the announcement of the Angels, which includes a man, who will be part of the 2025 famed runway show.

The video was posted on the company’s various social media pages. The list includes legendary Victoria’s Secret Angels like Adriana Lima, Joan Smalls, and Lily Aldridge. Lesser-known models who have done work with the company, who will also be part of the upcoming lingerie show, include Anok Yai and Yumi Nu.

But as the song on “Sesame Street” goes, “One of these…(is not like the other).” It would encourage kids to guess which one was different. And in this case, it couldn’t be more obvious, at least to me. The sixth model, named as an Angel of the upcoming runway show, goes by the name of Alex Consani. Consani is a biological trans-identifying male. Consani also walked in the 2024 VS fashion show.

And despite the company’s obvious attempts to try to convince people otherwise, we weren’t the only ones who figured it out.

Reading through the comments under the Instagram post, others thought it was horrible too, given Consani is not only pretending to be something he is not, but he is taking a highly coveted job as a Victoria’s Secret Angel in their annual fashion show away from a female model.

“Where are Candice, Doutzen, Daniela, and Alessandra? The only blond you have pictured is Alex, who is a dude!” one person wrote.

While a third comment read, “Victoria’s Secret is a brand synonymous with femininity. I believe that highlighting masculine images in a place built on women’s labor and women’s bodies is an injustice to women. It’s wrong for the brand to stray from its core values under the guise of diversity.”

Nailed it. I don’t think I could’ve said it better myself. The company is trying to fool people. And I, along with millions of customers, do not appreciate this.

As my RedState colleague Brandon Morse reported, the company went woke several years ago and appeared to be reversing course, realizing how many millions of dollars they lost for pushing a woke, DEI (Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion) agenda on customers who just wanted a good product and beautiful images of females selling them.

Morse wrote in 2023:

Victoria’s Secret has now figured out that being political isn’t good for business, and is now pushing away its hyper-feminist message after it resulted in a “significant revenue drop,” according to Fox News. Instead, it’s now going to move back to being the sexy lingerie it’s known for.

The Fox report read:

As such, it has looked to revamp itself and bring back “sexiness,” the outlet noted in a piece that was also published by editorial partner CNN on Tuesday.

In 2019, VS canceled its annual runway show. It came back on the air in 2024, People magazine noted.
